P/O J. A. Philpott – RCAF Log Books

These books were kindly lent to me to read, they are the service records of P/O J. A. Philpott (1312948) of the R.C.A.F.

They are four in total and cover a period from September 1941 to November 1945. I shall read them and share some of the records later. These were kindly lent to me by his grandson to whom I am very grateful.

  1. It’s wonderful to get a piece of history like this Andy. Recently, my mother-in-law lent me her father’s USAAF logbook, he was a P-47 pilot in Italy in WWII. She didn’t really know what Captain Anderson did and asked me if what he did was good? She is a lovely lady, my jaw dropped and I said, Sheila, your father was an amazing man. His logbook is extraordinary to read, many raids over northern Italy late in the war, including combat with 109Gs. I look forward to reading more about P/O J.A. Philpott RCAF.
