A Collection of Memories

There are many superb museums around the country storing, displaying and preserving Britain’s aviation heritage. Many of these museums contain personal artefacts that tell the stories of the men and women who’s lives were forever changed because of  World War Two.

I have always been amazed by these places, as a child I would wander through the collections of such material imagining and dreaming of what life was like on those cold and uncertain nights at 20,000ft over occupied Europe.

It was whilst on one of my many recent expeditions that I came up with the idea of sharing these great places with others and promoting the hard work undertaken by the groups of  dedicated volunteers that run them.

Now, a page has been added to the blog where you can search the places I’ve been and create your own trail around Britain’s aviation heritage.

You can choose your own museum here.
